An Appeal to our Loving Devotees

 

Dear Devotees, Greetings to you all!

 

I am glad to inform you all that, by the grace of the Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Ashramam, Tiruvannamalai has undertaken a comprehensive construction project, comprising of several aspects like a bigger prayer hall, guest rooms, office, kitchen and dining hall with the valuable financial assistance of devotees.

 

The major part of this work is of course the construction of the bigger prayer hall. The already existing shrine for the Holy Five (Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Srimat Swamis Vivekananda, Shivananda and Chidbhavananda) has a small prayer hall attached to it, with an accommodating capacity of 20 persons. We are conducting several spiritual programmes spread throughout the year like Antaryogams, special congregational worship programmes and daily prayer and pooja. As the need for a bigger prayer hall has been felt strongly for quite some time, it has been decided to undertake the construction of a new prayer hall (measuring 50’ x 26’) in the second floor of the existing building, along with the construction of the utility aspects like guest rooms, office and kitchen in the new building. The estimated cost of the construction of the new prayer hall alone is Rs. 30.5 lakhs.

 

Dear Devotees, our request to you is this: we wish that the new, bigger prayer hall should rise with the eager donations of pious devotees like you. Kindly contribute to a holy project as much as you can. What determines the contribution is your capacity and your wholehearted involvement in a project that is undertaken for the benefit of the world, that is, for your benefit.

 

This is how the prayer hall will benefit you. It will be the holy venue of the following programmes:   

• Four annual Antaryoga programmes, each for three days

  • Bhagavad Gita Poorna Parayana Antaryoga in the month of January.

  • Sri Tayumanavar Hymns Poorna Parayana Antaryoga in the month of April.

  • Tiruvachakam Poorna Parayana Antaryoga in the month of July.

  • Lalita Sahasra Nama Poorna Parayana Antaryoga in the month of September/October

• Lalita Sahasra Nama Deepa Pooja (3 times a year),

• Bharata Mata Deepa Pooja (on 26th January, 15th August and 28th of October, the birth day of Sr. Nivedita)

• Navaratri Pooja

• Tamil New Year, Sri Krishna Jayanthi, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Thirukkarthikai, Rama Navami and other poojas, during which congregational worship will be held as framed by revered Swami Chidbhavananda Maharaj, our Founder-Preceptor

• The daily Pooja, the daily prayer, parayana, japa, dhyana and other spiritual practices of the ashramites and devotees

 

It needs no elaboration that the financial help you offer will go towards the fulfilment of such a holy project that will benefit one and all spiritually and that this meritorious deed will generate great punya that will bless you and yours in the times to come.
